Description

The account director is responsible for driving client strategy, account profitability and business growth for existing clients, ensuring delivery against an agreed budget and plan.They will immerse themselves in the digital world, pushing the boundaries and integrating innovation to achieve commercial potential for clients. They will manage project revenue, delegating work effectively to ensure that it is always of the highest possible standard.


- To manage the relationship between the agency and the client

- To develop a proactive plan for business growth and to drive this through existing clients

- To ensure delivery against the agreed budget and plan

- To maintain a deep understanding of your client’s consumers and to use this knowledge to give good strategic advice to clients and to drive client strategy

- To take responsibility for the quality of work produced by the agency for your client, ensuring that all work is innovative, produced to the highest possible standard, and meets or exceeds the brief

- To maintain a level of relationship with your client whereby they trust and value your opinions and seek advice on their business and brand issues

- Continually monitor the client relationships and immediately address client concerns, ensuring a quick resolution of issues

- Ensure that the account team works effectively in partnership with the wider agency team, specifically including user experience, technology, strategy and editorial

Commercial awareness

- To identify new business opportunities and work with the group account director/client service director to follow these up

- To produce and monitor clear and accurate forecasting and budgets

- Improve working methods with clients on a continuous basis

- Involvement in new business pitching and the transitioning of new clients into the business

- Ensure that all members of your account team complete their timezone responsibilities accurately and on time

Leadership & management

- To lead the wider client team, ensuring that they are inspired and motivated to deliver the best work possible

- Ensure that everyone you manage has regular appraisals, clear objectives and a career plan to work towards and that they have the skills required to meet your client’s objectives

Requirements

- Seven years’ digital agency experience

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment

- Strong client management skills with the proven ability to add value to clients and to drive - -revenue from existing accounts

- Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills

- Experience of running projects of £100k + from start to finish

- Experience of inspiring and motivating a cross functional team

- In depth understanding of social media, SEO and digital marketing
